Coffee is about never being in so much of a hurry that you couldn’t stop by a café for a cuppa.
So we stop by All Saints Café in the heart of the Argentinian capital’s Av. Corrientes, a street synonymous with tango and traffic. Owners Sebastian, Taylor and Ezequiel Freidzon opened the original All Saints Café in the upmarket Belgrano barrio in 2014.
Today the café is an institution in itself, revered by Porteños from all over Buenos Aires for their organic coffee that is roasted in-house. The décor is eclectic – part woodsy cabin, part rock arena.
Don’t let all that hipster charm worry you; the baristas at All Saints are some of the friendliest in town. They welcome customers to ask questions and to take pictures of them brewing filter coffee, still something of novelty in a city where many residents of Italian descent only consider espresso real coffee.
We are grateful, as we always are, that we didn’t hurry. That we stopped and ordered a cuppa or two to sip and enjoy. The world flashes by; we don’t have to.
在到訪過世界盡頭的烏斯懷亞，見識了巴達哥尼亞的絕美景色後，
我們拖著疲憊但亢奮的心情回到布宜諾斯艾利斯。
隔天的行程很簡單，就在這熱鬧的都市中遊走，
先去看了入選為世界最美書店的El Ateneo Grand Splendid，
接著來份道地的阿根廷烤肉，飯後再慢慢步行到七月九日大道，
看看那世界最寬敞的街道；走著走著，忽然想喝杯咖啡。
就這樣，我們來到All Saints Cafe，這家市中心著名的咖啡館。
寬敞的空間，帶點工業風的裝潢，
配上從落地窗灑入的飽滿陽光，
讓人留下了美好的第一印象。
也許是上班時間，在咖啡館裡的享用的人客不多，
於是便和友善的咖啡師聊了幾句，說說今天的行程。
並在咖啡師的推薦下，我們點了一杯手沖和一杯flat white。
在等咖啡的當兒，我想拍些咖啡館的照片，
在征求了咖啡師的同意後，我便四處看看，
接著發現有道樓梯可以通往下一層，
樓下的空間也不小，墻上佈滿顏色強烈的壁畫，
裝潢風格與樓上有所不同，好有趣的一家咖啡館。
至於咖啡，我要說，在二十多天的南美行程中，
我最喜歡的手沖咖啡要數這杯了，
順滑的口感，滿口的花果香氣，著實讓人感動啊！
